Imaging Centers

Medical imaging is the procedure of capturing images of the interior of the body to assist with clinical analysis and treatment. Most types of medical imaging are non-invasive, and are performed on an outpatient basis.

Medical imaging centers may be either freestanding facilities or incorporated into hospitals or larger physician offices.

Typical technologies include X-ray radiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, mammography, computed tomography (CT scan), fluoroscopy, and bone density scans (DEXA).
